Great as a side dish or appetizer.\u00a0 I use my Kitchen Aid Slicer to make quick work of the chopping.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Veggies:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1 small potatoe (I prefer yam), about 1c cubed<\/li>\n<li>1 c. finely chopped cauliflower<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c finely chopped bell pepper (red or orange or mix)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c\u00a0 finely chopped onion<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c finely chopped kale leaves or spinach leaves<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c sweet corn kernels<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dry Ingredients<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>2 tsp ground garam masala<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp ground coriander<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 c besan (chick pea flour)<\/li>\n<li>3 tbsp flour<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp baking soda<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp chili powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp lemon juice<\/li>\n<li><strong>Other:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\u00a01 -2 c vegetable oil for frying<\/li>\n<li>Sweet Mango Chutney or Tamarind Sauce, purchased.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Put the potatoe cubes into water in a saucepan and boil until just tender, 5-10 min, drain water.<\/li>\n<li>Put dry ingredients\u00a0 in a large bowl with enough cold water to make creamy batter.<\/li>\n<li>Add vegetables and mix evenly.<\/li>\n<li>Put about 1&#8243; of oil in a deep frying pan.\u00a0 There should be enough oil to float the pakoras.<\/li>\n<li>Heat the oil on medium high heat.
