{"id":1049,"date":"2021-01-08T12:10:33","date_gmt":"2021-01-08T19:10:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/?p=1049"},"modified":"2021-01-08T12:12:35","modified_gmt":"2021-01-08T19:12:35","slug":"pulled-pork-with-coleslaw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/index.php\/2021\/01\/08\/pulled-pork-with-coleslaw\/","title":{"rendered":"Pulled Pork with Coleslaw"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Add buns and you have dinner&#8230;done!<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PULLED PORK<\/li>\n<li>Boneless Pork Roast (cheap cut like butt)<\/li>\n<li>Club House Pulled Pork (Slow cooker pork) spice package (1 or 2 depending on size of roast)<\/li>\n<li>Each Spice package needs 1\/2 c ketchup, 1\/2 c brown sugar, 1\/3 c apple cider vinegar (or more&#8230;I found more makes the pulled pork better)<\/li>\n<li>COLESLAW<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0green cabbage sliced very thin<\/li>\n<li>purple onion, chopped fine<\/li>\n<li>carrot, shredded (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Dressing for slaw: 1\/3 c apple cider vinegar, 1 &#8211; 2 tbsp of brown sugar (dark preferred), 1 tsp salt \/ pepper, dash of red pepper flakes,\u00a0 1\/2 tsp dijon mustard, 1\/4 c olive oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Put frozen roast in slow cooker early in morning. Needs 8 hours on low heat.<\/li>\n<li>Mix spice package(s) with ingredients and pour over roast.<\/li>\n<li>After 8 hours, pull out the roast and shred with forks, removing fatty amounts as you go.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the fat from the sauce in the slow cooker.\u00a0 Return sauce to slow cooker.<\/li>\n<li>Return meat to slow cooker.\u00a0 Heat on high for 1 to 1 1\/2 hrs to reduce liquid and thicken sauce.<\/li>\n<li>Pour dressing over cole slaw just before serving to keep slaw very crisp.<\/li>\n<li>Serve pulled pork with buns or wraps and slaw.\u00a0 Slaw can be on the side or included in the pulled pork bun.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<p>Thanks to Jean Hamilton<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Add buns and you have dinner&#8230;done!
