{"id":1153,"date":"2021-03-24T12:57:39","date_gmt":"2021-03-24T18:57:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/?p=1153"},"modified":"2021-03-24T12:59:10","modified_gmt":"2021-03-24T18:59:10","slug":"cranberry-pecan-wild-rice-pilaf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/index.php\/2021\/03\/24\/cranberry-pecan-wild-rice-pilaf\/","title":{"rendered":"Cranberry Pecan Wild Rice Pilaf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is heavier than plain white rice but way more delicious.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 c&nbsp; chicken or veggie broth<\/li>\n<li>1 c wild rice blend<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp dried parsley<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp dried oregano<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp dried thyme<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 c chopped yellow onion<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 c fresh or dried cranberries<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 c chopped pecans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In a medium size sauce pan bring broth to a boil.<\/li>\n<li>Add the rice and dried seasonings. Reduce heat to simmer, cover with lid, and cook for 45 min until rice is tender.<\/li>\n<li>In a small frying pan, add the pecans and toast on medium heat until pecans are golden brown.&nbsp; Set pecans aside.<\/li>\n<li>In same small frying pan, add the olive oil and onion.&nbsp; Cook until just tender.<\/li>\n<li>Add the cranberries and pecans to onion mixture and stir until mixed.<\/li>\n<li>Add to the rice mixture and fluff with a fork to combine.<\/li>\n<li>Serve warm.<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<p>Thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/mywebsitehere.com\">therecipecritic.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is heavier than plain white rice but way more delicious.
