{"id":1158,"date":"2021-03-24T13:09:17","date_gmt":"2021-03-24T19:09:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/?p=1158"},"modified":"2021-03-24T13:10:10","modified_gmt":"2021-03-24T19:10:10","slug":"peanut-butter-pie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/index.php\/2021\/03\/24\/peanut-butter-pie\/","title":{"rendered":"Peanut Butter Pie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What could be better than peanut butter, cream cheese, and chocolate!!!<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CRUST:<\/li>\n<li>25 Oreo cookies, no filling<\/li>\n<li>4 tbsp melted butter<\/li>\n<li>FILLING;<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/4 c icing sugar<\/li>\n<li>8 oz cream cheese at room temperature<\/li>\n<li>1 c smooth peanut butter<\/li>\n<li>16 oz (divided) Cool Whip<\/li>\n<li>TOPPING:<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 c cocoa<\/li>\n<li>1 c sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 c milk<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c butter<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For the crust, crush cookies in a food processor until there is small grains.&nbsp; Add the melted butter and continue with the processor until well blended.<\/li>\n<li>Place crumb mixture into a 9&#8243; pie plate.&nbsp; Flatten the mixture with the bottom of a dry measuring cup to form crust.&nbsp; Place in fridge for 10 min.<\/li>\n<li>For the filling, in a bowl with electric mixer, add the cream cheese, peanut butter and icing sugar.&nbsp; Blend until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add half the Cool Whip and beat again.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the filling into the pie crust.&nbsp; Smooth with a spatula<\/li>\n<li>For the topping, in a medium size sauce pan, bring the cocoa, milk, and sugar to a full rolling boil.&nbsp; Boil for 1 minute stirring frequently.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from heat and cool for 1 minute.<\/li>\n<li>Add the butter and vanilla and stir until well combined.<\/li>\n<li>Pour most of the topping over the pie filling.&nbsp; Reserve some topping to drizzle over finished pie.<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate pie for 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Top with remaining Cool Whip.
