{"id":1265,"date":"2021-07-16T11:58:26","date_gmt":"2021-07-16T17:58:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/?p=1265"},"modified":"2021-07-16T12:00:14","modified_gmt":"2021-07-16T18:00:14","slug":"peanut-butter-sheet-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/index.php\/2021\/07\/16\/peanut-butter-sheet-cake\/","title":{"rendered":"Peanut Butter Sheet Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This moist cake lasts in the fridge more than a week&#8230;if there are any leftovers!<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CAKE:<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 c smooth peanut butter<\/li>\n<li>1 c water<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c butter<\/li>\n<li>1 c sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 c brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 c flour<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp baking soda<\/li>\n<li>2 eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c buttermilk (milk with 1\/2 tsp vinegar added)<\/li>\n<li>FROSTING:<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 c butter<\/li>\n<li>6 tbsp buttermilk<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 c smooth peanut butter<\/li>\n<li>3 1\/2 c icing sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heat oven to 375F<\/li>\n<li>Grease a large cookie sheet with sides (jelly roll pan) 12&#8243; x 17&#8243;.<\/li>\n<li>In a large saucepan, add peanut butter, water and butter and bring to a boil.\u00a0 Remove from heat.<\/li>\n<li>In a separate bowl, mix sugar, brown sugar, flour, baking soda and salt.\u00a0 Stir well.\u00a0 Add to peanut butter mixture and stir until completely combined.<\/li>\n<li>Add the eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk.\u00a0 Mix well and pour into greased pan.\u00a0 Bake for 15 min until centre springs back when touched.\u00a0 Remove from oven.<\/li>\n<li>While cake is cooking, in a medium saucepan, bring butter, buttermilk and peanut butter to a boil.\u00a0 Remove from heat and add icing sugar and vanilla.\u00a0 Whisk until completely combined.<\/li>\n<li>Let cake sit for 3-5 minutes after removing from oven.\u00a0 Pour frosting over warm cake.<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<p>Thanks to Ashley for sharing!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This moist cake lasts in the fridge more than a week&#8230;if there are any leftovers!
