Adjust quantities as need be.\u00a0 Full recipe makes enough marinade for a full salmon.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 c brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 c maple syrup<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 to 1\/2 c soy sauce<\/li>\n<li>2 &#8211; 3 tsp garlic powder<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp Kosher salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp black pepper<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<li>Mix all the ingredients together.\u00a0 Put salmon skin side up in a shallow baking dish.<\/li>\n<li>Pour marindade over.\u00a0 Add a bit of water so that marinade is almost to top of skin.<\/li>\n<li>Marinate for 8 hours and then drain.<\/li>\n<li>Cook salmon until just done.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks to my friend Richard Shatzko!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a sweet \/ salty brine that makes salmon awesome!\u00a0 Can do it on the BBQ with or without cedar planks.
