{"id":1483,"date":"2022-07-24T07:05:08","date_gmt":"2022-07-24T13:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/?p=1483"},"modified":"2022-07-24T07:46:08","modified_gmt":"2022-07-24T13:46:08","slug":"yogurt-alfredo-sauce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/index.php\/2022\/07\/24\/yogurt-alfredo-sauce\/","title":{"rendered":"Yogurt Alfredo Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is light on dairy products and I use it on Pasta Primevera.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2-3 cloves of garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li>1 can full fat coconut milk<\/li>\n<li>100 &#8211; 250 ml oat milk or oat cream (optional)<\/li>\n<li>250 ml container of condensed veggie broth<\/li>\n<li>1 c low fat yogurt (2%, 6% or 11%)<\/li>\n<li>1 c grated white cheddar (old)<\/li>\n<li>2-3 tbsp dried basil or parsley<\/li>\n<li>2-3 tbsp cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp pepper medley<\/li>\n<li>1 -2 tsp italian seasoning<\/li>\n<li>pinch of nutmeg and red pepper flakes<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp celery salt<\/li>\n<li>salt \/ pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a medium sauce pan, add the garlic and coconut milk.\u00a0 Heat on medium heat. Do not let it boil.<\/p>\n<p>Add the veggie broth and oat milk and continue heating on medium.<\/p>\n<p>When mixture is heated through, gradually add the grated cheddar cheese. Stir to incorporate.<\/p>\n<p>Mix the cornstarch with a small amount of water and slowly whisk it into the mixture.<\/p>\n<p>Add the seasonings and adjust to suit your taste.
