{"id":158,"date":"2016-09-24T21:02:27","date_gmt":"2016-09-25T03:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/olivereats.ca\/?p=158"},"modified":"2016-09-24T21:06:58","modified_gmt":"2016-09-25T03:06:58","slug":"pretzels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/index.php\/2016\/09\/24\/pretzels\/","title":{"rendered":"Pretzels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(10 minutes, 425F)<\/p>\n<p>For a delicious combination of soft bread and hard salted crust this pretzel doesn&#8217;t disappoint.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3\/4 cup lukewarm water<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/2 tsp fast rising yeast<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/2 to 2 cups flour<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/2 tsp sugar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 egg + 1 tbsp water<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">Sea Salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"instructions\">\n<li class=\"instruction\">Preheat Oven to 425F<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Pour lukewarm water into a mixing bowl. Add the sugar and stir to dissolve. Sprinkle the yeast on the water. Let it sit about 5 minutes until bubbly.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add 1 1\/2 cup flour to the yeast mixture. Stir until the ingredients are blended and form a ball.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place dough on a lightly floured surface and knead dough. Knead in additional flour if needed. After about 5 minutes of kneading the dough should be smooth and not sticky.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Divide the dough into 4 pieces.
