{"id":166,"date":"2016-09-24T21:40:54","date_gmt":"2016-09-25T03:40:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/olivereats.ca\/?p=166"},"modified":"2016-09-24T21:48:09","modified_gmt":"2016-09-25T03:48:09","slug":"bread-pudding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/index.php\/2016\/09\/24\/bread-pudding\/","title":{"rendered":"Bread Pudding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(25 minutes, 350F)<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">5 slices of day old bread<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 tbsp butter<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup moist raisins<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup sugar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3 eggs, beaten<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3 cups milk, scalded<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4 tsp cinnamon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"instructions\">\n<li class=\"instruction\">Preheat Oven to 350<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Toast bread and spread with all the butter while hot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Arrange toast in a buttered pan 6&#215;13&#8243;. Sprinkle with raisins.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Stir the salt and all but 2 tbsp of the sugar into the eggs. Add milk and stir to mix well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Pour over the toast and allow to stand for 10 minutes. Press toast lightly down into the mixture.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Mix cinnamon with remaining 2 tbsp of sugar and sprinkle over top.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Bake until knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
