{"id":1800,"date":"2025-03-05T20:31:16","date_gmt":"2025-03-06T03:31:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/?p=1800"},"modified":"2025-03-05T20:31:24","modified_gmt":"2025-03-06T03:31:24","slug":"spicy-salmon-rice-bowl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/index.php\/2025\/03\/05\/spicy-salmon-rice-bowl\/","title":{"rendered":"Spicy Salmon Rice Bowl"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Delicious, healthy, and easy to make!<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<p>Salmon Bowl:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 8-ounce salmon filets, skin removed<\/li>\n<li>1 cup Jasmine rice<\/li>\n<li>Sesame seeds<\/li>\n<li>Oil for searing<\/li>\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Orange Glaze:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 orange, juiced<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup honey<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp sesame oil<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp soy sauce<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp grated ginger<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp apple cider vinegar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cucumber Salad:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 avocado, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 medium cucumber, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup cilantro, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp sesame oil<\/li>\n<li>1 lime, juiced<\/li>\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sriracha Sauce:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 tbsp sour cream, mayo, or greek yogurt<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp sriracha<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare rice as normal<\/li>\n<li>Combine avocado, cucumber, cilantro, sesame oil, lime juice, and salt in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Put orange glaze ingredients in a small bowl and whisk to combine.<\/li>\n<li>Mix together the sriracha sauce ingredients and set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Sear the salmon on medium high heat for 2 minutes on one side. Flip the salmon and pour in orange glaze mixture. Cook together for 2-4 minutes until glaze thickens and coats the salmon.<\/li>\n<li>Place cooked rice in a bowl topped with glazed salmon, cucumber salad, and sriracha sauce drizzled over.
