This festive combination, great for company, might become a new holiday tradition.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 slices bacon, thinly sliced crosswise<\/li>\n<li>1 medium yellow onion, diced medium<\/li>\n<li>coarse salt and ground pepper<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry<\/li>\n<li>1 cup whole milk<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup sour cream<\/li>\n<li>1 bar (8 ounces) cream cheese<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup grated Parmesan<\/li>\n<li>Crostini or pita chips, for serving<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"directions-item-text\"><div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Preheat oven to 350 degrees.<\/li>\n<li>In a medium saucepan, cook bacon over medium, stirring occasionally, until browned and crisp, 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Drain bacon on paper towels. Discard all but 1 tablespoon fat from pan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Add onion to pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, 8 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Add flour and cook 30 seconds.<\/li>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Add spinach, milk, sour cream, and cream cheese.<\/li>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Cook, stirring, until cream cheese melts, 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Stir in bacon and 1\/4 cup Parmesan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Transfer mixture to a 1 1\/2-quart baking dish and top with 1\/4 cup Parmesan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Bake until bubbling, 14 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Heat broiler and broil until top browns, 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Let sit 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"directions-item-text\">Serve dip warm with crostini or pita chips.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/div>\n<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marthastewart.com\/329037\/spinach-bacon-and-onion-dip\">Martha Stewart<\/a> for the recipe!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spinach, bacon, and onion make a flavorful match in this cheesy dip.
