{"id":555,"date":"2017-01-06T12:01:09","date_gmt":"2017-01-06T19:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/olivereats.ca\/?p=555"},"modified":"2017-01-06T12:01:09","modified_gmt":"2017-01-06T19:01:09","slug":"meatballs-with-mushrooms-and-bok-choy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/index.php\/2017\/01\/06\/meatballs-with-mushrooms-and-bok-choy\/","title":{"rendered":"Meatballs with mushrooms and bok choy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A work in progress.\u00a0 Feel free to modify to suit your tastes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/4 lb ground beef<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 c cracker crumbs<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 c milk<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">5 cloves garlic<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3 tbsp fresh ginger, chopped<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tbsp olive oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">4 c. shitake mushrooms, sliced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">12 baby bok choy<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 c beef broth<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">4 tbsp soy sauce<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tbsp honey<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 c green onion, chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"instructions\">\n<li class=\"instruction\">In a medium bowl, add the beef, crumbs, milk, garlic, and ginger. Mix with hands to combine.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Roll into 1 1\/2 &#8221; balls.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.\u00a0 Add the meat balls and brown all sides, cook through, 8 to 10 min. Set aside on a plate.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook stirring often until they start to brown, about 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the broth, soy sauce, honey to the frying pan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Mix the cornstarch with a little bit of broth till smooth, then add to pan.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer until sauce is lightly thickened, about 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the bok choy and meat balls.
