Makes 8 servings.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">1 small onion, chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">1 teaspoon canola oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">2 garlic cloves, minced<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">1\/2 cup diced fresh tomato<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">1\/3 cup picante sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">1\/2 teaspoon ground cumin<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">1\/2 teaspoon chili powder<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">1\/4 cup shredded reduced-fat Mexican cheese blend or cheddar cheese<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">1\/4 cup minced fresh cilantro<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">1 tablespoon lime juice<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"rd_ingredient\"><span class=\"rd_name\">Tortilla chips<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ol class=\"instructions\">\n<li class=\"instruction\"><span class=\"rd_name\">In a large nonstick skillet, saute onion in oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\"><span class=\"rd_name\">Add beans; mash gently. Stir in the tomato, picante sauce, cumin and chili powder. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\"><span class=\"rd_name\">Cook and stir just until heated through. Remove from heat; stir in cheese, cilantro and lime juice.
