{"id":868,"date":"2019-12-02T13:35:59","date_gmt":"2019-12-02T20:35:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/olivereats.ca\/?p=868"},"modified":"2019-12-02T13:36:00","modified_gmt":"2019-12-02T20:36:00","slug":"gravy-for-large-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/index.php\/2019\/12\/02\/gravy-for-large-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Gravy for large group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Adapted from Lynn Crawford<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/div>\n\n<p>Carrots, 3 or 4 medium size<\/p>\n<p>Onion, 1\/2 cup roughly<\/p>\n<p>Celery, 2 &#8211; 4 stalks<\/p>\n<p>Vegetable Broth, as many cups as required for packaged gravey mix<\/p>\n<p>Packaged gravy mix (beef, turkey etc), however many you need for your group size<\/p>\n<p>Drippings \/ fat from whatever meat you are cooking<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In a medium saucepan, pour in the vegetable broth and turn to medium heat.<\/li>\n<li>Clean and slice the carrots into 1\/4&#8243; rounds, add to saucepan<\/li>\n<li>Clean and slice the celery into small pieces, add to saucepan<\/li>\n<li>Chop the onion, add to saucepan<\/li>\n<li>Cook veggies until very soft.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the cooked veggies from the broth.<\/li>\n<li>Add packaged gravy mixes to broth.\u00a0 Cook according to package directions.<\/li>\n<li>Suction off drippings \/ fat from meat.
