{"id":918,"date":"2020-04-06T16:40:40","date_gmt":"2020-04-06T22:40:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/olivereats.ca\/?p=918"},"modified":"2020-04-06T16:40:40","modified_gmt":"2020-04-06T22:40:40","slug":"roasted-sausage-peppers-and-fennel-pasta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olivereats.ca\/index.php\/2020\/04\/06\/roasted-sausage-peppers-and-fennel-pasta\/","title":{"rendered":"Roasted Sausage, Peppers, and Fennel Pasta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So easy and so delicious.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode-ingredients\"><h3>Ingredients<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 Italian sausages, sliced into 1.2 inch coins (honey garlic goes well with this recipe!)<\/li>\n<li>Cloves from 2 heads of garlic, peeled<\/li>\n<li>1 fennel bulb, peeled and chopped<\/li>\n<li>4 or 5 bell peppers (assorted colours), roughly chopped into large chunks<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup olive oil<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp fennel seeds<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>Freshly ground pepper<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp balsamic vinegar<\/li>\n<li>Pasta of choice: bow-tie, penne, or fusilli (long pastas don&#8217;t really work with this one)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"shortcode-directions instructions\"><h3>Directions<\/h3><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven to 400\u00b0 F (200\u00b0 C)<\/li>\n<li>Toss all the ingredients together, except for the balsamic vinegar, in a large baking dish. Mix together until everything is well coated in oil and seasoning.<\/li>\n<li>Bake, stirring once or twice, for 1 hour.<\/li>\n<li>In the last 20 minutes, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook pasta of choice according to instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Remove baking dish from oven and toss in cooked pasta. Stir everything together until well combined.
