Chocolate Chip Cookies

(10 to 12 minutes, 375F)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts)

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven to 375F
  2. Cream together shortening and sugar.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla until fluffy.
  4. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in chips and nuts.
  5. Drop by spoonfuls on to baking sheet and bake.
  6. Allow to cool 1 to 2 minutes before removing from pan.
