Mushroom Fried Rice

A lovely introduction

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 lb fresh mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 6 cups cooked cold rice
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • Green onion, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Sherry

Directions

  1. Sauté mushrooms in butter till tender
  2. Add cooked rice and stir till rice is golden colour
  3. Add salt, sugar, and soy sauce. Stir thoroughly
  4. Garnish with green onion
  5. Add 1/4 cup sherry just before serving
