Scalloped Potatoes

Bake for 1 hour @ 350F

Ingredients

  • Potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp grated cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Arrange potatoes and onions in alternating layers in baking dish
  2. Melt butter in saucepan
  3. Add flour and cook several minutes
  4. Add garlic and mustard
  5. Remove from heat and add a small amount of milk
  6. Mix in thoroughly after each addition
  7. Return to heat and continue cooking until think. Stir constantly
  8. Add seasonings
  9. Pour over potatoes
  10. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake
