Aloo Gobi (Potatoes and Cauliflower)

A great Indian dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp cumin, ground
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced or diced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced or diced
  • 2 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 1/2 tsp tumeric, ground
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt to taste
  • 1 lb cauliflower florets
  • plain yogurt optional

Directions

  • Heat deep frying pan on medium with oil
  • Add cumin, garlic, and ginger.  Cook for 1 min.
  • Add potatoes and remaining seasonings.
  • Cook for 5-7 min. on medium heat.
  • Add cauliflower.
  • Cook for 10 min on low heat or until potatoes and cauliflower are tender.
  • Stir in plain yogurt to make a sauce if you wish.
  • Serve.
