Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice cooked
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Clove of garlic
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Seasoning salt

 

  • 1 lb bacon, chopped and fried crisp
  • 1 lg onion, chopped
  • Cabbage leaves, cooked

 

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup butter

Directions

  1. Sauté  onion in bacon fat.

  2. Add along with bacon to cooked rice with seasonings.

  3. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Layer cabbage leaves in large buttered casserole dish.
  5. Brush with melted butter.
  6. Add layer of rice.
  7. Top with cabbage leaves.
  8. Heat sauce ingredients and pour over before baking.
