Super easy, very moist, very yummy!
Ingredients
- 1 c chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1 pkg (18.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1 pkg (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 c water
- 1/2 c dark rum
- 1/2 c butter
- 1/4 c water
- 1 c white sugar
- 1/2 c dark rum
Directions
- Heat oven to 325F. Grease and flour a 10″ bundt pan.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over bottom of pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix and instant pudding.
- Mix in the eggs, 1/2 c water, oil, and 1/2 c rum. Blend well.
- Pour batter into bundt pan.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.
- Remove pan from oven and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Turn cake out of pan onto serving plate.
- Make the glaze by putting butter, 1/4 c water, and 1 c sugar into a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat and boil for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove sauce from heat and stir in 1/2 c rum.
- Brush glaze over top and sides of cake allowing cake to absorb the glaze. Repeat until all of glazed is used.
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream
